Volunteering

The Association could not function without volunteers – in its National Office or as part of a local team. The MND Association was started by volunteers, and we pay special attention to training and developing the people who work with us. You don't even have to be part of the committee to help either, you can volunteer for as little or as much as you wish, any help you give will be very much appreciated and knowing the help you give is helping some affected with MND. For example;
- Helping at Fundraising Events.
- Baking Cakes, growing plants and vegetables etc.
- Become an Branch Association Visitor.
- Help at Open Meetings, making Tea, Coffee, Minutes etc.
- Helping out with a Street Collection.
If you are interested in any type of volunteering, then please contact our Branch Eastern Region Volunteer Development Coordinator - Susanne Curtis via email: susanne.curtis@mndassociation.org or via telephone on 0845 3751859 or 07501 682092
For those of you who would like to join the committee, then we currently have vacancies within the Branch, for more details of these roles then please contact us for further details, or our Branch Regional Volunteer Development Coordinator. If your unable to help us here at the King's Lynn Branch, but still would like to get involved, check to see if there's a Branch near you which you could volunteer to help, you can find out here.
If you can't find a Branch near you, but still would like to help, then please contact National Office at enquiries@mndassociation.org or telephone 08457 62 62 62 who will be able to assist you, and find the opportunity you are looking for.
Association Visitors
Have you thought of joining our Association Visitor Team?
The King's Lynn Branch has a dedicated and friendly team of three Association Visitors (AVs) who visit people living with MND and keep in touch by telephone and email. We are always looking for sociable, caring people to volunteer as Visitors and join our team. AVs play an incredibly important role, providing friendship, advice and support to people affected by MND, and offering a vital link with the Branch and other sources of support. In return for your time, you’ll make some wonderful new friends and receive free training, which has won national recognition.
For more information on how you can become an AV please contact us or the Branch Volunteer Development Coordinator on 0845 3751859 or 07501 682092. Alternatively, visit our dedicated Association Visitors webpage.
